Lengthy
Limbs
she can reach me
my lady of arms
like skin-covered rubber bands
they sway and twist toward me
what would you like?
she extends the trusty trunks of life
upon the ends
rest the indomitable hands of a mother
the spindly bones of steel offer me a beverage
and the mammoth mugs
are reduced to sipping status
her mouth does the speaking
but the hands listen
like the leaves to the wind
I am forever with those arms
she will never know
how they have wrapped around me
hugged my soul while the coffee slid down
I'd hug her back
but I wouldn't know how
my measly string beans would not suffice
touch me, arm lady
let me gulp down your supernatural strength
I swallow
and live
